Installation

1. Download and install a ZXP installer or Anastasiy Extension Manager.
2. Open the installer and drag ui-animator-pro.zxp into the window.
3. Restart Adobe After Effects.
4. Open After Effects and go to:

Window → Extensions → UI Animator Pro

The same steps work on macOS and Windows. If the panel isn't in the list or opens empty, see Troubleshooting.

Purchases

Where to download

All tools are sold through Gumroad. Open the receipt email from Gumroad and click View content, or sign in at gumroad.com/library with the email you used to buy. Your license key is on the same page.

Invoice

Gumroad receipts have a Generate invoice link. Add your company name, address and tax ID there and download the PDF. If something is missing, write to hello@whatstudio.digital with your order email.

Troubleshooting

The tool isn't in Window → Extensions

• Restart After Effects after installing. A running After Effects doesn't see new panels.
• Open the ZXP installer again and check the tool is in its list. If not, drag the .zxp in once more.
• Check your After Effects version in Product Requirements.

The tool is in the list but the panel doesn't open

Sometimes the system and After Effects block CEP panels even when the extension is installed correctly. These quick steps help the panel load.

Windows

1. Close After Effects completely.
2. Open Command Prompt and run:

reg add HKCU\Software\Adobe\CSXS.13 /v PlayerDebugMode /t REG_SZ /d 1 /f
reg add HKCU\Software\Adobe\CSXS.12 /v PlayerDebugMode /t REG_SZ /d 1 /f
reg add HKCU\Software\Adobe\CSXS.11 /v PlayerDebugMode /t REG_SZ /d 1 /f
reg add HKCU\Software\Adobe\CSXS.10 /v PlayerDebugMode /t REG_SZ /d 1 /f

3. Reopen After Effects.

macOS

1. Close After Effects completely.
2. Open Terminal and run:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions"

3. Reopen After Effects.

A feature doesn't work

• Check what the feature needs selected. Each tool's documentation lists it under Select.
• Update to the latest version. Many issues are already fixed, see Updates.
• Look through Known Issues below.
• Still broken? Report a bug and we'll take a look.

Known Issues

Activation error: could not connect to Gumroad

If you see this error:

"Could not connect to Gumroad. Check your internet connection, VPN, DNS filters, and firewall settings, then try activating again. Your license key has not been verified yet."

and you're using a cracked or pirated version of Adobe After Effects, the issue may be caused by modified application files that block outgoing internet requests to prevent Adobe license verification.

These restrictions can also interfere with the activation of our tools. Try reinstalling After Effects using a different package or switch to the official Adobe version to ensure proper connectivity.

The panel is in Window → Extensions but doesn't open

This is a CEP block, not a broken install. Follow the Windows or macOS steps in Troubleshooting.

Updates

Updates are free. When a new version comes out, you'll be able to update directly inside Adobe After Effect or download the new .zxp from your Gumroad library and install it over the old one with the same steps as in Installation. Restart After Effects afterwards.

Your settings, presets and saved styles won't be removed. Or make a backup: open the tool's Settings and use Export Settings (UI Animator Pro: Backup & Reset). After updating, use Import Settings if anything is missing.

Licensing

Single and Studio

A Single license is for one person: up to 2 devices. A Studio license is for a team that works with the tool together: up to 5 users. Both include commercial use.

Using the tools at work

Yes. Every license includes commercial use, so you can use the tools in client and studio projects.

Moving to another computer

Use the same license key from your Gumroad purchase and activate it on the new computer. Reset the tool on the old one first: Settings → Reset removes the key there. To keep your setup, export your settings before and import them on the new machine. If activation says the key is already used, write to us with your order email.

In UI Animator Pro, open Settings → Backup & Reset → Open Debug Console, repeat the problem and click Copy to add the log.
